California farmworkers may be eligible for financial assistance from trusted organizations for COVID or disaster relief. There is no cost or membership required to apply to these programs - you do not need to sign a union card to get access to any payments. Below is a list of trusted providers that can help you apply for these funds.
COVID-19 Relief
Farmworkers in California may be eligible for one-time $600 COVID-19 relief payments from the USDA Farm and Food Worker Relief (FFWR) Grant Program. If you worked on farms between January 20, 2020 and May 11, 2023, you may be eligible for this payment.

A: If anyone tries to coerce you into signing a union card while applying for COVID-19 relief funds, you can file a complaint anonymously by calling 800-424-9121 or by visiting the USDA Office of Inspector General website. If anyone tries to coerce you into signing a union card while applying for disaster relief payments, call 800-344-8477.
